Passport Prime is an app platform, not a single purpose device. KeyOS runs each app as its own isolated process, so the Bitcoin Wallet, your 2FA codes and your stored files never share memory or storage with one another.

Every app below is built by Foundation and ships with KeyOS. From KeyOS 1.4 you can also install apps written by other developers.

Third Party Apps

From KeyOS 1.4, Passport Prime can run apps built by developers outside Foundation. You install them yourself from Settings > Apps, and you decide which publishers to trust and what each app is allowed to do.

Foundation does not review third party apps. What protects you is the platform rather than an approval process: every app runs in its own kernel enforced sandbox with no route to your master key, your PIN or your backups, and the capabilities that matter are granted individually by you.
