Beta Releases

We typically release betas before publicly releasing an official, signed firmware update.

Our beta releases are signed by our Beta PubKey. To test a beta, you’ll need to load our Beta PubKey onto your Passport:

  1. Download and save beta-pub.bin, which can be found in the Github release files, onto a microSD card
  2. Navigate to Settings > Advanced > Developer PubKey
  3. Insert your microSD card that contains beta-pub.bin.
  4. Select Install PubKey

If you already have an existing Developer PubKey saved in Passport, first select Remove Pubkey.

Once beta-pub.bin is installed on your device, you can go ahead and install the beta firmware release as usual.
